I have created two different characters. The first one died, but I was able to bring her back.
Amiga is a Priest and her weapon was not ideal. She is the one who died. She is named "friend" and is not a real fighter. Trabajadora is a rouge. She is much better at defending herself!! Her name means worker and she does do some work!
I am not sure what the class is? Sisters if Elune?
I have so much to learn. At the beginning of today I didn't even know how to move Amiga forward!!! Progress!!

thawley- Progress indeed! When you created your character, you first selected a race (Dwarf, Gnome, Human, etc.) and then a class-(hunter, rogue, paladin etc.) Sisters of Elune is the server on which we play. (A server is the computer where our data is stored) If you take the time to watch the WoW 10 year retrospective (aptly named "Looking for Group) many of your questions will be answered!

Go ahead...you KNOW you want to!

This is an awesome group! I'm really clobbering you over the head with this - but I feel it has so much information that might help in so many ways!

Maratsade, I plan on watching this video on Wednesday, which is an optional teacher workday for us and snow on the way, so it will give me something to look forward to! As well as your Turkey Lurkey meeting!

After long deliberation with my advanced gamer son, I created my first character.

My character is StoneBowl, a human hunter in the realm of Dalaran. Fighting at my side is my fiercely loyal wolf. I am currently a level 7 hunter, choosing the hunter class specifically for the crossbow weapon. I am a huge fan of The Hunger Games series.

I chose the name "StoneBowl" for several reasons. I first planned to choose to be a Pandaran, and I thought the name fit the Asian cultural profile well.

When I changed my mind and chose to be human, StoneBowl reflected the characteristics of strength and a vessel that could be used in many ways, like holding sustenance, healing, water, etc. The bowl also symbolizes to me reliability and durability, as in withstanding the fires I might encounter.

But the real reason I chose it is that my favorite ethnic restaurant in Asheville, NC is the Korean place named Stone Bowl. I jump at the chance to eat there! Comfort food that soothes me and fills my soul.

Hi,

I finally was able to download WoW and create a character.

His name is Twonkiggy. He is a gnome and a monk.

Here's how the name came about:
My husband and I play lots of board games (not so much since we got kids). One of our favorites is RoboRally. We also belong to an online community called Boardgamegeek, which used to be much smaller. We were adopting a Siamese cat from Siamese rescue and we asked the BGG (Boardgamegeek) community what they thought we should name her. Somebody suggested Twonky who just happened to be my favorite robot in RoboRally. (Twonky was a very sweet cat.) When I needed an online identity I decided to use Twonky. It wasn't always available so I pretty much became TwonkyKitty. When I was naming my gnome, I just modified that a bit.

Twonky

/me presses the brush aside, and speaks in a voice filled with gravel.

Greetings, I am Abiledtek, a Humane devoted to the Sisters of Elune. Orcs have force me off my lands, so now I hide in the forests, using my skills as a Hunter to try to survive.

(Get it, edtek - EdTech? Abil stands for AgileBill, so you can spot me!)

Name Abiledtek
Race: Human
Gender: Dude (brown hair, beard)
Class: Hunter
Realm: Sisters of Elune
Level: 2 at the moment!

Having spent most of the 1990s playing Heros of Might and Magic, Baldur's gate, Icewind Dale, and NeverWinter Nights, I may not have enough time to level up fast. However, I'm fascinated to learn how to learn and teach so that my software teams can be as productive as WOW guilds! LOL I'm terrible at WOW, but am a certified Game master for pen and paper DnD 3.0 and 3.5 (I know, old school, lol)

I'm taking all the university courses in virtual worlds I can find. Apparently, a Masters degree comes with it too. I guess that is a nice bonus.

Per Brainhex I'm a social explorer who likes to stand back and plink things from a distance.

See ya online!
