Cloning the curriculum quest?

Watched the video but cannot search/find the NOAA Planet Stewart group to clone?

Is it me or does it have a different name this session?

Thanks

Hi THX1138 - cloning the Planet Stewards quests will be something done when preparing to use the curriculum with your classroom. Let me check in to see what the timeline for when it is available for cloning will be.

I believe the ability to clone the curriculum should be turned on now. If you are still unable to complete the quest, let me know.

The group should be in your all groups list - select all groups and search for NOAA - you should see the group labeled NOAA Planet Stewards: Teacher Training - you should be able to click join. Let me know if you are still having issues.

Thanks, Lisa! I'm in.

I panicked and thought I wasn't getting access because I belonged to too many groups so I started dropping some of the groups of I belonged to. Do we have a limit?

You can delete a group by going to that group, go to Group Manager and then Group Details, scroll to bottom and you should see delete group at the bottom.

Let me know if you still have issues and we can file a help ticket.

To complete the quests it asks- to submit a short journal entry. Where do I do that-- here in the forum? in another area?
Do I need to start a blog? Thank You!!

OK- I just saw the "Journal" tab above- so I guess that is where I should submit my entry. Sorry- I am not a gamer nor an extremely technological person, so it takes me awhile :)

Never be sorry for questions, as I tell my students, if you are asking the questions odds are good someone else has it too. Also, this style of learning is about exploring and discovering and I find the first step to exploring is asking questions to get you started. Keep asking the questions.

Awesome, thanks for sharing - I'll plug this in the specific quest resources as well

I have cloned the NOAA planet stewards and I am starting to look through each of them. I was confused at first because I was not sure which categories I needed to check and/or uncheck in order for my students to earn certain badges. Luckily I went back to the NOAA blogspot on this and found which ones seemed to go together. This may be an area that can be improved somehow?
I am using an ipad and I know that my students may have access to ipads. Many of the embedded videos do not have a link to the youtube video. Since I have know cloned it- I assume that I will need to find the video and place the link in the quest myself? Any other option? Note for future-- maybe try to list the video along with the embedded one. There seem to be some new technology grants out there with ipads for schools-- so they may be used more and more. Plus they are easier to bring to class.

I'm in the same boat as you, cmccormic. I have iPads in my class for students to use and I was concerned about having to go through all the NOAA quests and have to replace the flash based, non-Youtube, videos with Youtube videos. That will take a while.
